The February/ March edition of The Green Parent magazine includes the latest in my series of interviews with parenting authors and experts.
I spoke to Meagan Wilson, of Whole Family Rhythms, about the importance of rhythm in our family’s day to day lives and how celebrating seasonal festivals connects us with our wider community.

This was really interesting. I’ve often said to Mark that one of the things I really like about the US is all the “holidays” that are celebrated. Valentines, St Patrick’s day, Memorial Day, 4th July etc. I think it punctuates the year and gives a nice flow to family life (even if you don’t go all out for each one, which I don’t). Also people seem to really enjoy seasonal events here more than the U.K. in my opinion
I love that you write for this magazine!

Thanks Lucy! I agree with you (and so does Gretchen Rubin!). I might look at trying to work in a few extra “holiday celebrations” into our life.
